I spent over two decades in private practice representing lenders and borrowers in complex financing transactions before finding my true calling as a coach, thought partner, and supporter for busy professionals.

After spending just over a year as an associate in a prominent Detroit-based firm (where I was admittedly a terrible associate), I joined the largest office of an AmLaw 20 firm. That is where things clicked for me, and I leaned into the challenges, opportunities, and fun that the practice of law can provide. I spent nearly a decade on the office recruiting committee, was a summer associate and new associate advisor, and was honored to serve for two years as the firm’s Partner for Associate Career Development, focusing on associate recruitment, onboarding, retention, and training. I then spent over eight years as a partner at an AmLaw 150 firm.

Now, I support lawyers and non-lawyers through one-on-one coaching, career transition advising and group coaching. I also enjoy designing and delivering interactive programming that is customized to meet the needs and goals of the attendees.

I decided in fifth grade that I wanted to be a corporate lawyer, so I earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from The Ohio State University and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School. I am admitted to practice in Illinois and the District of Columbia, and I love earning CLE credits because it gives me the chance to learn about areas of law outside of finance.

I am passionate about education and the arts. I am a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business and serve at the board secretary for the National Veterans Leadership Foundation. I also served as the board secretary/co-chair of the governance committee for Washington Performing Arts and served on the boards of KidPower DC, The Academy for Global Citizenship in Chicago and Chicago Scholars. I spent an amazing eight years as a high school youth mentor with the LinkUnlimited organization in Chicago.
